You can now reload this game position at any time by opening the console and typing "\load_game Quicksave" (without quotes). Note that the saved game file is saved under the name you gave Open uplay_r2.ini and edit UserId = to your legit from Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\ long folder name, copy your id (for ex. 80f33a39-e682-4d1f-b693-39267e890df2). Save, close and play with your save :). Thanks, it works! but dlc are not unlocked, i have still the stuff i had in my legit games and cannot access Fix for Save Games Disappearing on Far Cry 3. Go under user/documents/my games/ and find the far cry 3 folder and rename or delete if you prefer. Start up far cry again and your save games will be recognized, but all your video settings and such will be reset. This is a rough fix, but much better than restarting the game. Put these two folders into the bin folder of the game. Found by opening the file location of the game. I'd run as administrator if you want to be sure it'll save. SPOILER: I've just saved some hostages, and Amita's pissed because there's some fighting at an outpost so I'm off to there. I've only hijacked one tower so far. Where are the Far Cry 5 save files (Fitgirl)? I'm pretty sure the saves are in the same folder that you install the game. You could also open the .ini and there it will tell you the save location. Make sure to read the stickied megathread, as it might just answer your question! pre re install: inside the "bin" folder there was a "Profile" folder and a "Profile.Backup" folder containing save files in the ALI213_1.SAV format. post re install: there is no longer a "profile" and "profile.backup" there is only a "save3dmgames" folder which contains "1.SAVE" and "2.SAVE". side note: on the main far cry menu it says The checkpoints, when I return to main menu or quit and restart the game, are not saved! I tried to check "local game cache files", some appeared needed to downloaded again: I restarted, rechecked, local game cache files were then OK, but the problem is still here. Plays great on the Deck so far, but since it's Ubisoft, there's no steam cloud saves (booooo). I don't mind doing the extra work of copying a savegame folder back and forth if that will do the trick, but I obviously at least need to know where that data is stored.
